Is Search-By-Age-Range a must for a dating site?

Arguments in opposition:
* There is an unhealthy preoccupation with age in our society.
* Subverge is not only a dating, but also a community site, where we want encourage all ages to mix.
* We do not display exact ages, we show a range of a decade on profile pages.

Arguments in favor:
* Shared experiences mean common topics, it's hard enough to break the ice in an online setting, it's even harder if the age does not roughly match.
* As PookieB on twitter points out: I prefer having Age Range in, don't want sites that don't have it. Too many results that I don't want.
